Happy New Year!

This last week at the home was quite eventful. Jen Wagner and her family spent the week with the girls providing fun and entertainment for all. They gave up their holidays in the states to spend time at Prince of Peace for the second year in a row. Other than the big Christmas dinner that the Wagner's hosted, almost every night they had special gatherings with the girls that consisted of movies, games, pajama parties, and even the Wii. There was a night where they did the Guatemalan version of Minute to Win It, where all the girls put on their fierce faces and competed in various entertaining games. The night was filled with so many laughs, creative strategy, and just a good time. Even the tia�s participated in the infamous coin toss game. The home and the girls are very grateful for how sacrificial the Wagner�s were during their time here. We also had a special visit from Doug and Amber Westgate, who brought their 3 kids Austin, Devon, and Alyssa and it was the first time the entire family came to Prince of Peace. The family spent time with the girls building and strengthening their relationships. The girls really enjoyed the time they had with them. Ringing in the New Year was also a memorable time for the girls because there was a team here from Kentucky led by Mr. Paul aka Papi Pablo. Mr. Paul has a special place in all the hearts of the girls and having him here to celebrate the upcoming year was exciting. The girls stayed up until midnight and watched the Guatemalan sky light up with fireworks, ate tamales, and drank hot chocolate with marshmallows. It was definitely a joyous time for the girls and for everyone that was here. We are excited for this coming year and for the many blessings that God has in store for the home and for the girls. Please keep Prince of Peace in you prayers for 2012 and we pray that all of you have a wonderful and blessed New Year!
