Dr. James
Hines -
President of the Foundation |
|
The Prince of
Peace Foundation is the umbrella for all of the legal
structures of Prince of Peace Home for Girls. As President
of the foundation, Dr. Hines is the legal representative of
the girls. He represents the home in the many legal
interactions with the government and the courts including
the audiences the girls have before the judges. In addition
to his responsibilities as the legal representative, Dr.
Hines oversees the accounting and financial transactions of
the home and works very closely with Vilma de la Cruz, the
social worker, in overseeing the education of the older
girls. He and Kay work together in the medical clinic and
are very involved with the girls in independent living. In
addition to teaching English in the school at Prince of
Peace, she also teaches a bible study to the older girls. |

Paul Sanders
-
President of the Association |
|
The Association
of Prince of Peace comes under the umbrella of the
Foundation. The Association has the oversight for the
operation of the Home, the School, and the Clinic. The Home
includes the oversight for hiring of staff, receiving girls
through the courts, working with government and families in
the adoption process, and in decisions (audiencias) of
placement for the girls. The School includes the oversight
for hiring teachers, researching of curriculum, and
scheduling. The Clinic is legally under the umbrella of the
Association but Dr. Jim and Kay do such a good job there is
very little oversight required. In addition, Paul and Lana
schedule and host work teams, serve in public relations and
fund raising. Lana serves as secretary of food services and
manages the Sponsorship Program. |

Celeste
Ramirez -
Administrative
Assistant |
|
Celeste began
working at Prince of Peace in 2001. She is a tremendous
asset to the program because she knows all of the procedures
in the office as well as relates to the girls and their
needs. She does all of the administrative work for the
school and office as well as helps with the finances by
paying bills, doing payroll, and posting receipts.
Celeste is bilingual so that is a great help when it comes
to translating in difficult situations and working with the
teams. |
|
Vilma de la
Cruz -
Social Worker |
|
Vilma lived as
one of the girls at Prince of Peace several years before she
graduated and moved off campus to attend a university. She
received her Masters in Social Work and is now working on a
law degree.
Vilma understands the needs of the girls because she has
been one of them. She has a real gift in counseling with
them. She works with the courts to bring new girls into the
program and determine what is in the best interest for each
one. She also works with the house mothers in giving
direction and tools to know how to deal with the girls.

Nina Estrada
-
Psychologist |
|
Nina came to
work at Prince of Peace in February 2008. She is a wonderful
Christian young lady who has the best interests of the girls
at heart. She administers tests in aptitude and personality
and spends many hours counseling with the girls.
